Akademi 2250 is a platform initiated by the Young Peacebuilders of Turkey (YPTurkey) with the support of young people to help creation of a Turkish semi-academic literature primarily on the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda and the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in Turkey.
As Young Peacebuilders of Turkey, one of the challenges we encounter is that there is no academic literature focusing on the youth’s and women’s roles in peacebuilding in Turkey. Another one is that there are very limited resources on the given fields in widely-spoken languages in Turkey. Also, considering the existing literature, it can be easily noticed that youth’s participation in knowledge production is very limited. Providing knowledge in four languages (Turkish, Kurdish, English and Arabic), Akademi 2250 is a semi-academic platform where young scholars can contribute to the process of knowledge creation on peace and conflict studies, particularly in YPS and WPS agendas. Scholars can also share their researches written in following areas:
